FAQs
How do I submit a complaint?
The first step is to send in a signed letter via mail to
205 - 236 St George Street, Moncton NB, E1C 1W1.
Include as much detail as you are comfortable providing along with any supporting documentation you think may be relevant.
**Please note that we cannot accept letters/packages that require signature.
What happens once I submit a complaint?
Once the College has received your official complaint it will be reviewed by the Registrar where the next steps will be decided.
A client has moved to/is traveling to New Brunswick. Am I permitted to continue counselling my client?
The College has no jurisdiction on where a client seeks assistance. It is between the client, the counsellor, and the insurances. You need only remind your client that in the event of any concerns they would reach out to your regulatory/governing body, if any.
What format should I use to submit documents?
With the exception of formal complaints, sending documents as PDF is preferred. If you do not have access to a scanner there are many free apps that can convert photos into PDFs (such as CamScanner. Please note that the College has no affiliation with CamScanner or any other document scanning app. Use at your own discretion.)
Do I have to send my documents all at once for my application?
You can send your documents however works best for you. You can do all at once, or send them as they come; however, keep in mind that the fewer emails you send reduces the chances of something going missing or overlooked.

No. All references MUST come from the referrer directly. Otherwise, they will be ineligible for review.

Currently the membership fee is $460.

Each year during membership renewal members are required to submit three key components:

Licenses will not be considered renewed until all three have been submitted. Fees will apply past the deadlines as indicated on the Membership Renewal form.

How will I know if I am eligible to be selected for an audit?
The College requires members to accrue 36 CECs on a three-year cycle from the year of acceptance into the College. For example, if you were accepted into the College in 2023 you will be eligible for an audit in 2026.
